Host Family letter

Hello guys
I am sharing with you the letter that I wrote for the host families in my application, the most important about the letter is talk about you, not just chilcare experience that is actually important, personality, hobbies, expectations to be aun au pair and about your family as well. So, the families will be able to see through the letter if your interests, life style and personality fit with theirs.

Hola chicos, les quiero compartir la carta que he hecho para mi aplicación en linea para la HF, lo más importante de la carta es que escribas todo lo que te identifique, es necesario que no solo hables de tu experiencia con niños sino que hables de tu personalidad, tus gustos, pasatiempos, tu relación con la familia y que expectativas tienes al ser Au pair, para que así logres captar la atención de familias que tengan intereses y expectativas muy parecidas a las tuyas...

Dear host family,

My name is _____. I would like to describe myself with this letter. I am Colombian and live in a city called ________, near to capital. My city is very touristy for its warm climate. I live with my parents, my mother _____ (52) she is a lessor and my father _____ (55), he is a teacher. I have an older sister named _____ (28), she is a teacher too, she does not live with us, because she is married, and her husband calls xxxxx. I have a great relationship with my family. They always help me in everything I need. We always go out shopping, eat at some restaurant and love to watch movies.

I would describe myself as a responsible, friendly and loving person, I am very hard-working and dedicated person.
I usually in my free time I love traveling,  meeting new people and dealing with their differences, making friends and learning new things! I consider myself an adventurous person. I like healthy eating. I like going to church, reading books, listening to music, going out with my friends and family, going to the movies, the mall, the park and the beach. Sometimes I spend my free time at home with my family, watching movies and talking to them.

 I like driving, and I've never been involved in car accident, also I am good driver.

I studied ______________________, Next February will be my graduation.I have chosen this course because I have always loved technology, animated film and computers. I have always loved the English language, and I have always wanted to learn it.

I worked as a computer teacher out of my city for 2 years and 6 months, from January 2014 to July 2016, I took care of three groups of children of different ages, boys and girls from 3 to 11 years old. In this experience I lived away from home and I became more independent and mature woman, I traveled weekends to see my family and to study in the university. From February to July this year I was assistant teacher for swimming, took care of twenty children, boys and girls from 2 years to 8 years old, an hour daily from 5 pm to 6 pm; In July 2016 I come back to my city to do the university practices in a beautiful project that I love to work for, I work in the mornings as a designer and 3D animator of a sign language software for the deaf children of a foundation, I Am proud and glad to be able to help children through my work, this project will finish in a month.

In the afternoons I look after a 7 year old girl, her name is Ana María, I pick her up in the afternoons when she leaves school and I take her to my house, I prepare her lunch and we have lunch together with my family, I help her with her homework, when we finish, we watch movies or children's TV series, go to the park or ride bicycle. I always take it once a week to the library for activities of culture, reading, drawing and crafts. We like to go to the pool, we usually go on Fridays, I have also enrolled her in music classes in this December vacation and we will go to the organized novenas in the sector for this christmas. I love helping her develop her maximum cultural skills so she is a girl with great talents when she grows up. Her mother arrives at 6 pm from work and picks her up, she trusts me a lot because she likes her to take care of her because I take her to different places.

I have decided to become an Au Pair because I really love children. Also, this experience can help me improve my English skills; Working with children and studying in the United States would be great for my professional goals. I would also like to know more about the American way of life, about American culture and share experiences with you. I think it will be a very special experience.I think this experience will change my life.
